Game Day Grub

Nothing is better than enjoying your delicious food and beverages while watching your favorite team in action. If you are hosting, snacks are a must. You don’t want to end up running out of food and drinks before the game gets to halftime. Providing easy to eat foods can save you a lot of time and stress. If you are stressed about making sure everyone is fed, make it a potluck. This gets everyone involved and fosters a sense of community.

Contests for Guests in Your Home

Select a few games to help keep your partygoers engaged. One example of this is they can participate in an end zone dance contest. Each time a player from the team they are routing for makes a touchdown, they have to get up and perform a dance number.

For those who enjoy watching commercials, they can fill out an empty bingo card with commercials they anticipate will be advertised during the game. At the end of the night, you can compare cards to see who was able to create a “bingo” on their card.

Bring the Stadium to Your Home

Before the big day comes make sure to test all your technical equipment. This could include your TV, sound system, internet and anything else you might use to enhance the watch party experience. Plan and buy all audio equipment before the day of the game comes; you don’t want to be running around the day of your party.

You can also bring the stadium to your home by decorating. You make it a theme party by hanging up logos for your favorite teams and their colors. This can be executed simply by purchasing paper plates and napkins with the colors of the teams playing.

Set Rules and Plan for Cleanup

Before the game starts, let your guests know where they can set their belongings and where they can use the restroom. This will help your guests feel more comfortable and you can relax more while the game is going on. Before the game is over, you can tell guests where they can throw out their unwanted food and drinks, and this can help with the cleanup time.

You don’t need to be in the stadium to have the best experience, hosting a watch party will be a lot of fun. Be prepared to make this the best football experience you have ever been a part of.
